Nikita & William

Some weddings are grand and full of spectacle. Others are quiet and intentional, built not around performance but presence. Nikita and William’s day was the latter—a gentle, graceful unfolding of time shared with the people who matter most — their family, friends and most importantly, each other.

Held at the beautiful Lamont’s Bishops House, their wedding was intimate in every sense of the word. No rushing. No overpacked schedules. Just room to breathe, connect, and soak in every moment. From the beginning, Nikita and Will were clear—they wanted to prioritise quality time with family and guests. With JodyQ Weddings on board bringing plenty of experience, we knew the secret to making sure that Will and Nikita got the best out of their day is a smooth timeline. So that’s exactly what we did. The timeline was crafted to feel slow and spacious, allowing space for laughter, stillness, and everything in between.

(Timeline tips below on how we made sure we can capture what we needed whilst still being mindful of the couples requests.)

Nikita wore a stunning white sari—something I’ve never seen before at a wedding, and something I won’t forget anytime soon. She was breathtaking. The kind of elegant that doesn’t try too hard—soft, radiant, and completely herself. There was such a beautiful stillness to her, the kind that draws you in without a single word. Will, on the other hand, chose a timeless navy blue tux, a look that carried both ease and sophistication. Together, they were magnetic—the sari’s ethereal grace paired effortlessly with the deep, classic tones of his suit.

The day may have been short in hours, but it was full of warmth, quiet joy, and meaningful connection. We witness people in their lives come together from family to friends to work friends. Personally, I like witnessing this part of the mingling because I like getting to know people who loves our couple.

If you're ever wondering whether a wedding has to be big or extravagant to be meaningful—this one is proof that intimacy is powerful. That slowing down is beautiful. That celebrating your love in a way that feels true to you is always the right choice.

Tips for other vendors on how we made the timeline work!

  • Majority of the family shots with the couple were done prior to the ceremony. Nikita got her family to meet her at the place where she is getting ready so we can already take her solo shots with her family. We also asked Will and his family to arrive earlier at Lamont’s so we could take his solo shots with family prior to the ceremony.

  • No congratulations. After the ceremony, we went straight to photos and cake cutting and have saved the congratulations for during the mingling. Congratulations normally takes anywhere from 10 - 20mins so cutting it out (since there will be cocktail hour anyway that the couple will be present for) have saved us some time.

  • Well planned couple portraits. Having a list of location and poses for the couple already in hand makes it easy to direct them and get creative during the portrait hour.
