Camilla & Leonardo
One Year Later | Camilla & Leonardo in Tuscany
It’s almost been a year since this beautiful wedding in Tuscany — and with Camilla & Leonardo’s anniversary approaching, I wanted to revisit one of my favourite days of last year.
They are both the kind of people you want to be around — warm, humble, with beautiful taste and the kind of energy that makes everyone feel welcome. From my very first call with Camilla, I felt an instant connection (her voice reminded me of one of my closest friends), and when I finally met them both in person, it was so clear why they were meant to be together — the way they balance and complement each other is effortless.
The mood of the day felt like them: romantic, dreamy, and above all, about love — not the performance of a wedding, but the meaning of it.
The wedding was held on Camilla’s mother’s private property — a beautiful, quiet spot with an infinity pool overlooking the mountains. Everyone there had flown in for them, and you could feel the emotion in the air.
Camilla walked through a sheer curtain between the trees to meet Leo at the ceremony by the pool. It was such a simple moment, but it felt almost cinematic — like the whole garden was holding its breath.
Dinner was held outdoors under stars and festoon lights. Long tables, great food served in courses, and an atmosphere of true togetherness. People mingled, caught up, and stayed present — no rush, no distraction. The speeches were heartfelt, with both their parents and Leo’s grandmother sharing words of love (even in a language not everyone can understand, the warmth translated perfectly). After nearly a decade together, their story was one everyone celebrated wholeheartedly.
For me personally, this wedding meant so much. It was my first EU wedding of 2024, and to share it with Mason as my second shooter made it even more special. I still feel deeply grateful that they trusted me — an American couple getting married in Europe, with endless photographer options to choose from — and they chose me. That trust never leaves you.
Looking back one year later, this remains one of my favourites — because it holds what I value most: documenting the day naturally, capturing real moments and emotions, and letting beauty unfold as it is.
Happy anniversary, Camilla & Leo. Grateful to have been there, and even more grateful to know you both.
